West Fraser Electro/Mechanical Ltd. is a multi-faceted provider of services for and distribution of the critical equipment that supports continuous production industries. We work from a 28,000 square foot facility in Prince George, British Columbia, and offer in-shop and field repairs, maintenance, and technical services, as well as direct sales and replacements of industrial electric motors, generators, and components.
We are currently looking for a Handyperson to join our team join our team and grow with our business.
What you will be doing:
- Some of the main responsibilities will include:
- Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks (training provided)
- Assist in loading and unloading of equipment
- Perform preparation work and assist in repair of equipment
- Perform all work in compliance with the quality manual
- Performing assigned tasks safely and efficiently
- Operate equipment, including but not limited to: grinders, cranes, forklifts, dip tanks, various handheld power and non-power tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

What we need from you:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Ability to multitask and manage tasks, based on time requirements
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset
- Willingness to learn and work
- Good Communication
- Steel Toe Boots
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
