West Fraser Electro/Mechanical Ltd. is a multi-faceted provider of services for and distribution of the critical equipment that supports continuous production industries. We work from a 28,000 square foot facility in Prince George, British Columbia, and offer in-shop and field repairs, maintenance, and technical services, as well as direct sales and replacements of industrial electric motors, generators, and components.

We are currently looking for a part- time Administrative Assistant to join our team. 

What you will be doing:

Some of the main responsibilities of the purchaser include:

  • Accounts Receivable & Customer Setup
    • Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
    • Set up customer accounts and complete credit-worthiness checks as required
  • Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
    • Check, verify and process incoming vendor invoices
    • Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and investigate any discrepancies
    • Maintain vendor files and support vendor communication as needed
  • Payroll & Time Tracking Support
    • Collect, review, and confirm timesheets, including overtime
    • Track employee vacation, sick time, and other leave balances with accuracy
  • General Administrative Support
    • Assist with credit card expense report submissions and reconciliations
    • Maintain filing systems to ensure all documentation is organized and accessible
    • Answer incoming phone calls and direct enquiries professionally and efficiently
    • Perform general administrative duties to support office operations and assist other departments as required

What we need from you:

  • Administrative or accounting support experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting software systems (an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team player who fosters a positive work environment
  • Ability to grow a strong company image with customers and vendors
