West Fraser Electro/Mechanical Ltd. is a multi-faceted provider of services for and distribution of the critical equipment that supports continuous production industries. We work from a 28,000 square foot facility in Prince George, British Columbia, and offer in-shop and field repairs, maintenance, and technical services, as well as direct sales and replacements of industrial electric motors, generators, and components.

With a keen focus on meeting our customer’s needs, growth and superior execution you will have the overall responsibility of the Motor Marketing & Sales Department of WFEM, this includes inside sales, outside sales, pricing, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and warehouse. You will be directly responsible for leading the development of WFEM’s go to market strategy and sales plan including developing, training and mentoring the sales team in the execution of said sales plan. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting the progress and success of the marketing and sales initiatives. In addition, your team will be the “voice of the customer” providing customer feedback to the business regarding customer satisfaction and future product requirements.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinating with the General Manager to establish a go to market strategy. This will address pricing, market segments, product offerings (present and future), promotional channels and resources required.
  • Developing a sales plan to execute the marketing plan, individualized for each Account Manager.
  • Develop a metrics dashboard as a barometer for monitoring the success of the marketing and sales initiatives and reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Working with departmental managers, as required, to assist with the preparation of reports, the annual budget, promotional budget and financial statements.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Price Book.
  • Effectively implements, promotes and executes the Quality Assurance program as it relates to the sales team.
  • Develops and enforces Inquiry to Order Process (ITO).
  • Reviews all customer feedback, works on the Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions, implements corrective actions and ongoing monitoring/controls and communicates to customers when applicable.
  • Manages the daily activities and functions performed by the inside and outside sales team.
  • Drives sales performance to maximize efficiency, productivity and response time.
  • Manages sales plan, estimates, response time and quotes to ensure customer satisfaction and consistency.
  • Develops and executes Key Account Plans, win and/or loss analysis and improvement plans in order to continue to drive sales performance to meet or exceed annual margin projections.
  • Manages the sales and marketing team, including but not limited to, training and development, conducting performance reviews, successorship planning, performance management, coaching and mentoring, and staffing for the marketing sales department.
  • Introduces new products to team and assists with ensuring that they are familiar with the product.
  • Oversees and manages the marketing strategy, marketing materials, promotional activities, website, and digital marketing.  
  • Manages vendor relationships and vendor approval process, including, but not limited to providing the correct product offering(s) to the customer.
  • Works with the customer and the company to determine potential service opportunities, offerings and development.
  • Actively explores the market for customer account development and acquisition.
  • Standardizes quote submissions for all sales for the company and monitors to ensure that the process and format are followed.
  • Travel to customer site(s) as required.
